GALAXY SLIME?

maxresdefault.jpg

Recently a crazy trend going around has been making slime. Another is making things into galaxy versions of themselves. When you put those two trends together what do you get? Galaxy Slime!

Slime is a unique play material composed of several ingredients. It is classified as a liquid  and comes in a variety of colors and textures. One way of making slime is with detergent, glue, and optional food coloring. Another is with borax or liquid starch. So who came up with the galaxy slime idea? Many people have tried this trend so its hard to figure out you started it. But we do know that slimes orgin was from a company named Pillo. Pillo manufactured and sold this toy in a plastic green trash can. This toy was introduced in the winHow-to-Make-Glitter-Galaxy-Slime-Recipe-3.jpgter of 1976, and was non toxic.

To create the galaxy slime you must first create three separate slimes. One colored purple, one blue, and one pink. Place the slimes side by side, and roll them together creating the galaxy look.

Fidget Spinners

Recently a big trend going around is a strange toy called the “Fidget Spinner”. Its claimed to be the remedy for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and autism. Sadly, the toy is being banned in classrooms all across the United States. The toy has a maximum of four bearings and come in many different shapes and colors. The toy may consist of brass, stainless steel, titanium, copper or plastic. So who created this toy? Catherine Hettinger, shes a chemical engineer. She wanted to file a patent for the toy in 1993, however she never got to it.

Hettinger said shes “pleased” that the toy is becoming popular. The Floridian inventor isnt making anything off of these toys, due to the fact that she didn’t file a patent.

Now lets see what some employees at buzzfeed have to say about this.

we-tried-fidget-spinners-2-14559-1494036905-0_dblbigBen Coleman called the toy “Stress relieving” and “aesthetically pleasing to the eye”.

Safiya Nygard called it “Ridiculous…but fun.”.

Therefore, the views on fidget spinners are mixed. But afterall, they were created for a good cause!
